Maggie is a sweet, calm, senior girl. She knows sit and come. She walks very well on a leash and seems to be housebroken. Maggie was surrendered with 2 other Beagles. She gets along with calm well mannered dogs. Maggie would do best in quiet home with children over 5. Please come meet Maggie and her other doggie friends.

Freeholder Deputy Director Gerry P. Little, Liaison to the Ocean County Board of Health, announced that the Ocean County Health Department’s (OCHD) Northern Ocean County Animal Facility (NOCAF) will be celebrating the season with its Fall Festival on Saturday, October 8th, from 1 – 4pm. He added. “There will be a Halloween costume contest for pets; prizes will be awarded for the best group, funniest, most original, scariest, and cutest. Not only will people have the opportunity to show off their pets in their Halloween finest, people can meet many of the dogs and cats at the shelter that are available for adoption. Every pet adopted at either one of Ocean County’s Animal Facilities is spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and age-appropriately vaccinated.”
Daniel Regenye, OCHD Public Health Coordinator said that the event is also sponsored by the Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal Shelters. The Volunteers will be providing fall-themed photos for your pet for a small donation, a bake sale, and pumpkin painting. “There is something for everyone here on this fun-filled day; you may even find and adopt your new best friend,’ he added.
Brian Lippai, Manager for the Ocean County Animal Facilities, said, “A Pitt-y Party will also take place focusing on Pitt Bulls. A Red Carpet Walk will feature some of our beautiful Pitt Bulls we have for adoption in addition to speakers from Bully’s Behaven and Ocean County Bully Meet Up Group. The speakers want to dispel some of the myths that surround Pitt Bulls and take the time to educate the public about this breed.”
The Northern Ocean County Animal Facility is located at 615 Freemont Avenue, Jackson. If you have further questions, you can call NOCAF at 732-657-8086.
